Opt out of

Optimizing your life.

When the world lays it’s list of expectations upon you & you feel like you’re drowning in your to-dos, lay every care at the feet of Jesus and learn to be present & take life one moment at a time.

Your invitation to slow down, protect your time, and create a life that you love.

As wives, mothers, employees, and everything in between, it can feel impossible to balance it all - and maybe we weren’t meant to. What if every single social media influencer, blogger, and podcaster was making it much more complicated than it needs to be? What if it doesn’t take another organization system, another self help book, or another course?

What if the Answer has been staring us in the face all this time just waiting for us to acknowledge it?

Through my battle with anxiety, the Lord has taught me that when I am tempted to bury myself under the weight of my own expectations and the demands of my schedule, I need to step back, prioritize, lighten my plate, and listen for His direction.

You don’t need another supplement, course, or fancy planner, you just need to still yourself and draw near to the only one who can do it all.

I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Alyssa Wadsworth & I’m a Christian, wife, mom, and author. As a Christian poet, my writing is rooted in mind renewal through scripture, and offering words that comfort the weary and point to the healing power of Jesus. I believe in stripping away the noise of the world to help my readers discover the profound peace found in a following Christ.

My work centers on the belief that suffering catalyzes intimacy with God and that profound beauty lies in the mundane. I write to gently remind others that: presence heals, simplicity restores, and the Grace of God Transforms.

I Believe…

  • Everything in life can be solved through Faith in God.

  • Modern life has become way too complicated, and that we can learn a lot from the past.

  • Sunlight, nutrient rich food, and gratitude heals the body, mind & soul.

  • It is better to let go of commitments and take some things off your plate instead of trying to balance a thousand different tasks.

  • To start over a million times never equals failure.

  • The body can heal once the battle of the mind is won.

  • Life is not meant to be optimized, we are not machines- we are God’s masterpieces.

  • Flowers and nature itself are therapeutic

  • Unlearning the expectations and demands of our society is one of the most beneficial things we can do in this life.

  • Whether things are good or bad, keeping a regular relationship with the Lord is the true secret to living a joyful, peaceful life.

  • the feel of a turning a page, and the tip of a pen hitting a page are something that can never be replaced - no matter how hard technology may try.

  • Asking yourself “Is what I’m working toward going to leave a legacy behind for generations to come?” is one of the most important life questions.

  • Doing what you can with what you have exactly where you are is enough.

If you believe these things, I hope you’ll join me on this journey of finding peace in the present moment.
